Objective

Get to the castle and catch the King's sword

There are 5 different endings that can be obtained. I think the Peaceful End is the most rewarding though because you'll have to be smarter and more skilled to overcome the challenges without any violence. The other endings include: Stylish, Sad, Embarrassing and Brutal

Keyboard controls

Development Details

This game was made using Construct 3 and it was made for GDKO 2024 - Round 1

  • Task: Make a Game with the Theme SPECTACLE
  • Modifier: FUSION
  • Team: SHELFMAN

SPECTACLE - I decided to make a game about a jester who uses acrobatics such as hopping, swinging on vines and cartwheeling to get to a castle where he'll need to perform the daring act of catching a sword

FUSION - I created a fusion of 2 game genres, platformer with a catcher game. If you don't know what a catcher video game is, I'd recommend taking a look at games like Kaboom! on the Atari which popularised the genre

Updated version

Now if you press space on the end screen, there is a short story for what happens afterwards for each of the 5 different endings
